As you enter this room, you first notice the desk and chalk board.  Many of those who are over 50 started school in this type desk.  Do you remember sitting behind a best buddy or a girl? (The boys said that it was always better to set behind a girl so you could harass her throughout the day). The apple and old books relate to a simpler time for the student and teacher. The younger visitor is treated to a setting that his parents or most probably grandparents would have experienced as they started to school.
