As you walk into this room, you are struck by the warmth of the room, not the temperature but the feeling of being at home. Several quilts are on display.  Most striking is the one on the bed.  The lady who made this quilt was born in 1848.  Her husband was a Confederate Soldier.  On the right you can see a picture of couple.  This is the lady who made the quilt and her husband. The room brings home the hardships and the closeness of the families during the post-war period of the late 1800's.
