Appointment to Provost Marshall, Martin's Brigade

Below is Capt. Ellis' appointment to Provost Marshall, Martin's Brigade in Greenville, N.C., on May 26^th, 1863. It is unknown who actually penned the document.  It may be a copy transcribed by Ellis himself for his own records, or B.B. Bower, the 62^nd Georgia Regiment's adjutant, or possibly Charles G. Elliott, A.A.A. Gen'l (Acting Assistant Adjutant General).
