Contracts with Martha J. Polhill, Spouse
Below are two contracts entered into by Wm L.A. Ellis and his wife, Martha J. Polhill. The first contract appears to be a contract of marriage, dated December, 1853. The second contract appears to be granting Ellis power of attorney over Martha's property, dated February, 1854 (after marriage). Each document is a single page, but due to size, each was scanned as two parts.
